It was really difficult for me to find a thesis statement for our annotative bibliographies. I couldn’t really find a book, movie or song that I could make a thesis statement out of. I was really interested in the difference between how Sonny and the narrator in Sonny’s Blues dealt with their pain and how Sonny turned to drugs to ease the pain and the narrator dealt with it and became successful. But I felt that Sonny’s Blue’s was challenging for me to read so I decided on the movie the Blind Side because it showed that traumatized, uneducated people can become successful.
