Twilight v.s. the Vampire Diaries

In class last week we got to watch clips from the series Twilight and clips from the new TV show the Vampire Diaries.  I have always been a Twilight fan so I really liked being able to watch it because I haven't in such a long time.  I had never heard of the Vampire Diaries and when we watched it, I really enjoyed it.  I think that they both are very similar but the Vampire Diaries has a more dark effect to it than Twilight does. They are both about vampires falling in love with non vampires and the challenges they endure.  I think it’s ironic that both of the antagonists in the Vampire Diaries and Twilight are the vegetarian vampires.
